Australia’s young gunman Alu Quol has made a name for himself after scoring one of the most impressive goals in the country’s football history.
Representing Australia in the AFC U-23 Asian Cup in Uzbekistan, Quol’s incredible goal helped his team to a 1-1 draw against Iraq.
The 20-year-old’s incredible finish came in stoppage time in the first half. He was in a box ready to receive a cross from Josh Rollins, but as the cross floated over his head, Cool distorted his body to hit the ball with a scorpion kick backhill.

“I was moving forward and saw the ball go behind me, and I just thought, ‘Yeah, let’s do this,'” Cool said, according to the Sucrose website.
“I couldn’t do anything else so I hit it and it shut down.
“Out of 10? I’ll give five. That’s normal. Give me the same ball and I’ll do it again!”
“I’m lying, it was nice.”
However, despite his incredible efforts, Kuol was disappointed with the overall result.
“Glad to get a point but it’s a disappointing result, 100 percent,” Kuol said.
“We were on top and we had to move on with it, but in the end Iraq was lucky that they managed to escape with a point.”
