Boxing fans didn’t have to wait until Justice Honey Square with Joseph Goodall on Wednesday to see the animosity explode.

The drama began at the end of a fight between monster heavyweight Marvin Feterica and Twice Voussiutu at Brisbane’s Nissan Arena, which was set in four rounds but decided in only one.

The referee ended the bout by awarding him a TKO victory after a 20-second massacre by Vausiutu.

This caused the two men to close each other’s mouths, before Vusiutu’s instructor fired some barb shots.

“Strict words continue,” said Ben Damon, a commentator on the main event.

Feterica’s coach extinguished the tension and, over time, descended into the ring to find himself trapped between two large units.

And Feterica then waited for the referee to declare Vossiutu the winner, leaving the stadium.

“A different boxing class from Vausiutu,” Damon added.

Justice Honey’s victory was expected and “beautiful work”, according to boxing legend Jeff Fench, the Australian blew up his work.

Rising boxing sensation fellow Queenslander Joseph Goodall, who is six years older, won the IBF Pan Pacific, WBO Oriental and WBC Australian heavyweight titles in Brisbane on Wednesday night.

In a fight in which blood flowed from Huni’s left eye and Goodall’s left eye almost closed, Huni won by a unanimous-point decision, with the judges voting 100-90, 98-92 and 98-93.

Honey is now in the top 15 out of three of the four boxing sanctioning bodies and is one step closer to the world-title shot she aspires to.

The 23-year-old combined an attack of body shots with his right hook barrage and occasional left hook as he defeated his opponent.

“An outstanding creature from Joseph Goodall and one of Justice Honey’s true world-class heavyweights, an outstanding heavyweight fight set for something very special,” said Ben Damon, chief event caller.

Boxing icon Barry described Michael Hooney’s performance as “a masterclass”.

“It was a great performance from Justice Honey.”

Goodall’s extreme resilience was demonstrated as the 29-year-old relentlessly shook and endured violent action in a pay-per-view fight.

Although Honey dominated the bout, the fight was apt to go a long way because of Goodall’s admirable resilience.

“The main event was a terrible heavyweight fight,” Michael said.

“You don’t often see great heavyweight fights. It was a rapper.”

After the bout, Honey applauded Goodall.

“We knew Joe was going to be tough. He always did, even in our Spurs, so we just had to prepare for it,” Honey said.

“It worked well for us.”

He said it seemed surreal to move closer to a fight on the world stage.

“It’s incredible. You do all the training and everything and you think, ‘When will the date come?'” Honey said.

“We’re continuing to plug in and it’s getting closer. So, I’ll continue to plug in and keep working hard, and the rewards are coming.”

Justice Honey’s promoter Dean Lonergan unloaded Joe Goodall for his performance in the pair’s heavyweight blockbuster, calling the show “disgusting.”

Despite questions over his ability to hit and potential rust after a 12-month layoff, Honey has shown that he was far above his former sparring partner, winning a unanimous decision in a 10-round fight.

After Honey’s victory, which gave him a realistic path to the World Cup title, Lonargan said Goodall’s camp had lost all hope of a possible rematch.

“My son, Justice Honey, was fighting for the IBF and WBC titles. That stupid, goodwill, was fighting for the WWW title,” he told reporters after the fight.

“Importantly, he came to wrestle, he did headbutt, it was a disgusting performance from Joe Goodall in my opinion.

“It simply came to our notice then.

“Goodell did nothing but make the fight as dirty as possible … and he made it as annoying as possible.

“If they think they’ll ever come and have a rematch with Justice Honey, they can go on their own.”

Lonergan named Chris Terzievsky, Lukas Brown and Kiki Lutel as potential future opponents of Honey.

The Kiwi promoter also fired a thin veil, arguably the world’s greatest preacher, Eddie Horn, who advised Goodall to defeat Honey before the fight.

Queensland heavyweight Dempsey McKin (21-0, 13 KOs) is part of Horn’s stable, and when Lonargan said he would welcome a meeting with McKinn, he suggested that Horn not do so.

“Don’t even talk to me about Dempsey McCain. They’ll run like little bitches because they won’t fight Justice Honey,” he said.

“After that performance, Eddie Horn will sit there and think, ‘Why should I keep my big heavyweight with him?’. He has no chance.

“McCain has done very well to get to where he is by fighting people who can’t fight. They’re rubbish people who leave their way, put on their boxing shoes and then turn around and get knocked down by someone who can’t fight you. You can say that he can’t fight just by watching her train.

“To mention Dempsey McKinn, even though he’s ranked 10th in the world, would be an easy pick for Justice. We’ll take him to heartbeat but he’ll run like a little dog.”

I – I confess with some annoyance – are looking for reasons to pick against lightning throughout the year. Mostly because, as a wise blogger once wrote, this shit is hard. It’s hard enough to go back, in a pay-per-view league where luck or injury or a hot goal can rule the day, and thrifting is very difficult, something that hasn’t been done since the day of the goal. Being a day laborer and staying in shape as a milkman means smoking during periods and not during shifts.

Tampa has been seen to allay my suspicions, getting some sleep in the regular season, although it seems they are doing the energy-saving LeBron thing for the post-season and are confident they can qualify at three-quarters the speed. The next hurdle in surviving Toronto at seven was changing guards. No dynasty lasts forever, and the future of the East will seem to fall between young parties like Florida and New York. That handoff will happen this year? Absolutely not. Veteran veterans have shown star-eyed new kids a couple of things, two-game hiccups can both steamroll to overcome.

Stamcos is still Stamcos, Headman is still Headman, Kucherov is still Kucherov, Pallet is still in the right place at the right time with a cunning that leads to Clarevance, it had to be replaced for tough-all-world casualties like playing against a redefined third line cap, Vasilevsky is still the best in the world, and John Cooper, for all the mysterious, unbelievable magic that goes into coaching hockey, is still pressing the right buttons. It’s a team that, like its past champion versions, has seemingly little legitimate reason to pick against it. Except. Without an explicitly missing name from this paragraph. There was no Brayden point without lightning.

Well, that’s about it. The point, a playmaking machine and early play-off force, could finally return to the ice for tonight’s Game 1, which has not been played since the start of Game 7 against Toronto due to a lower body injury. “If not [tonight]”Then we really expect Game 2,” Cooper said.

The role of points in the last two Lightning Cups really cannot be overstated. He has scored 14 goals in 23 games each, and even with his short 2022 playoffs, he has more goals than any other NHL player in the last three post seasons. He did this with or without a lethal combination of being able to go to high-dangerous places, the reflection of the ending, and Sangfrey to make his game up under bright light. The entire Lightning roster has so far been tested and tempered not to be spoiled in the big moments, but the indomitableness of the points also stands out among his teammates. There are two lenses through which to see his return from injury, and both reflect well in Tampa. At first, they came back to something similar in full force. That’s enough imposed. In the second, they went 9-2 in the post-season without him and Now they are adding Braden Point to it. Oh shit.

If there is a caveat, it is not clear how many 100 percent points have been or will be returned. It may take some time for him to ramp up, and there are indications that he will not be returned to the top line immediately. Tamper has focused on Nick Paul and Ross Colton in recent practice and in that role he can deliver some more scoring punches in a great two-way third line. If he works his way up to the top again, the knock-on slotting-down of Stamkos and Cirelli will upgrade the entire lineup. The only sure thing is that if he can play, Cooper will be sure that he is Drama. “Braden Point is an elite player in this league and he will play his minutes according to how he reacts,” Cooper said. “I wouldn’t classify that the pointer would sit completely on the bench. If he is healthy, he will be there. “

A healthy point and the depth that its addition will provide can work wonders for grinding, relentless hockey The Lightning hopes to play against the snow. Tampa loves cycling, uses gaps and threatens to snip to defend, and prefers to bring the game down one battle after another, as they often do not win. Fresh legs and multiple scoring threats per line make it easy to execute the game of their choice. (Colorado, by contrast, favors a faster, north-south offense that makes it more likely to run. Tamper blue line-stacking, slot-clogging defense will be interesting to see how it handles it. There is a tendency to hurry, or if the crimes are more concentrated and intentional. If it is next, Tampa is probably in better shape.)

Thus, the absence of points out as a possible reason for picking against electricity. And yet, they are underdogs (though not irresistibly). In the end, in this third cup race, there is an argument left that a reasonable observer’s tamper time is over. This argument, although you will find dissenting people, does not need to be reached: that Colorado is a good team, and now is their time. This time the final is going to be good.

As a general rule and as a matter of best practice of communication, it is not best for the most famous representative of a large new public effort to spend the days following his or her debut that you, in the face of that effort, actually believe that the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks were serious and The worst was both. It’s uncomfortable to talk about, for one thing, blurring the message, as well as the way genocide, state-sponsored violent crime continues to happen. Phil Mickelson must have known that this would happen when he took $ 200 million from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to join the LIV Golf Tour, an initiative that exists at least in part to persuade people to associate the kingdom more closely with golfers and golfers. Snatchers and bone marrow.

It is now called sports washing, although it can also be called branding. The first word speaks of the ways and motives behind this effort, and of the bribery of oligarchs and dictators’ soccer teams and repressive states, and of the way to the Olympics or World Cup. But the common old “branding” may actually be more useful here, given that the term is broad and fundamentally value-neutral. Either way, the idea is to think of something less through implications and intimation and stagecraft. It’s not complicated at all. If you don’t like dictator-affiliated oligarchs or big financial swindlers, but like Chelsea FC or the New York Mets, you’ll see why exes can see an angle in spending their money next. At the highest level, this kind of branding can be seen as soft-power politics on the part of many repressive states that want to make it seem normal enough to host large television shows that the whole world enjoys watching; Franchise by franchise and oligarch by oligarch, it just looks like vanity. In the case of Saudi Arabia and LIV golf, this is obviously both.

Mickelson answered his question on Monday – the short version is literally “How can you live with yourself?” And for the longest time, Mickelson believed he was disrespecting the memory of the 9/11 victims who, with money from the nation, provided (at least) 19 snatchers who carried out the violence that day – as well as anyone. He said he had “the highest level of sympathy and sympathy” for the families of those killed in the 9/11 attacks and had no real reason to believe he did not. There is no reason to believe that sympathy and sympathy, or Mickelson’s blunt and incompetent correct assessment of the Saudi royal family as “scary motherfuckers”, is more important than what these particular scary motherfuckers offered him to play golf. Their new tour. The thing that unites and enlivens all of this is meaning; The question that arises in all of this is what kind of indulgence can effectively buy a nation and how much. This is a good question, although the answer is not really hard to know.

But if this has always been the case and it is already clear which is really important and which does not matter, or which is the most important anyway, there is still work to be done. It all feels like drowning, and it feels familiar. Mid- and late-career golfers who resigned from their PGA Tour membership to join the LIV Tour were asked how they felt about taking the money they were taking and considering who was asking and who was answering as much as you expected. Definitely answered. . Many of them claim, quite credibly, that they never worried about the money they got for playing golf.

But those who were prepared to answer it did a very good job of it and were able to do it with all their abuse and more clearly than Mickelson anyway. “I think we all agreed here, Khashoggi took the situation,” Graeme McDowell said before the first LIV event, the situation in 2018 where Saudi agents tortured, killed and dismembered a dissident journalist named Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate. Istanbul. “It simply came to our notice then. No one is going to argue this fact. We are not politicians. I know you hate this expression, but we don’t really, unfortunately. We are professional golfers. If Saudi Arabia wants to use golf as a way for them to get where they want to go and have the resources to accelerate that experience, I think we are proud to be able to help them on that journey. ”

In some very obvious ways, there are basically no people in the world to weigh in on international issues more than mid-career PGA Tour golfers. In another more specific sense, though, it’s hard to imagine anyone better equipped and more equipped to wake up these particular chainsaws. The wide line of various retired golf icons circling the LIV and its surroundings that was fixed before its launch, which was something Saudi Arabia did wrong but trying to do better, is a classic sports narrative taken if not out of its full breaking point. ; In its generality, it is not the only one with which many of them were acquainted, but in which they themselves may at one time be briefly the main characters. Talking vaguely about The Good That Golf Doos is one of the default obligations of being a professional golfer, and one of the easiest to say that it rarely comes with follow-up.

More than that, though, these golfers have spent their working lives under, in the vicinity, and in the presence of luxury brands and financial institutions whose various sponsorships have been ubiquitous as part of the tour for so long that they do not register. “I’m a golfer,” Talor Gooch told ESPN’s Kevin Van Welkenberg in London. “I am not so smart. I try to hit a golf ball in a small hole. Golf is tough enough. I try to think about golf. “To be fair, it’s her job. But it’s a job she does when festooning Gooch brand accessories and logos that pay her for that privilege. , How they make their living.

And Mickelson and McDowell and Gooch and all the other tour players who resigned from their membership to join LIV, at the bottom, were just taking a good deal – LIV offers a bigger purse, and a less-than-demanding schedule and (for now) competitors. A low-demand slate. (So far, most of the sponsors of those players have decided to stick with them.) Charles Schwartzel, who claimed the inaugural LIV Tour Championship, has not won a PGA Tour event in six years; He took home $ 4.75 million, more than any golfer’s single win.

“Instead of skating around, tell me what it is,” Van Peljen, a PGA Tour player, told Welkenberg. “Just say, ‘If I take money, I don’t care about other countries and other people, I care about my career and my family, and anyone who has not been offered this kind of money can’t relate.’ “

But if it’s hard to relate to golfers – and it’s always going to be difficult to relate to golfers – at some level, the rest is familiar. It’s easy enough to grasp the gambit of Saudi Arabia with LIV golf; The golfers who took their money are even more so. Whether it’s interest or profit or ratings or anything else, the Saudis don’t really need LIV golf to succeed in the way that the new Gambits usually try to succeed. It just needs to exist.

So it’s not a big deal that no one, at least not yet, thinks about LIV. Van Welkenberg noted that the tour gave tickets to his first event “anyone will take them” and that most participants spent their time in the fan experience zone. LIV promised a lot in its advertising for the event, which had a costly unusual power that landed between AG Atlantic City Casino and literally the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Watching Phil Mickelson’s 33rd finale or suddenly revealing himself as a real person by looking at the statue that suddenly popped up in your grill, even though the kids could draw their faces.

No or not all of these mammals, in the end, are both very important and not side by side. The golfers pay in any way, the state has so much to feed the addiction of the money that the world sends to the state. The point is for people to know; This, in a sense, serves almost the same purpose, as a serious and characteristically undisclosed act of diplomacy that the state provided the official room to touch Donald Trump in 2017. Other soft-power considerations in the game — it would seem that two of the five LIV events in the United States, including its $ 50 million championship হবে will be held on a Trump-owned golf course নয় are not difficult to rule out. Its shameless and blatantly false, perhaps, something like a dot. If you don’t need to drive somewhere, there is no difference between car and hood ornaments.

LIV Golf is an abstract product with an abstract goal মতো like the World Cup in Qatar or the Olympics in Russia, the goal is public opinion in a way that seems to ignore the real opinion or interest of the general public. But with all that open and public about it, the stakes are clear. The PGA Tour, as an organization, was vulnerable to such attacks as there are so many contemporary organizations-it was cheap and smuggled and secretly weak, and was fundamentally incapable of defending its existence without pointing to the fact that it already exists. There is some meaning – John Raham That said on Tuesday When he explained that the PGA Tour was what he and other young golfers had hoped for, if only because the best golfers played. But the fact that the PGA Tour has not been around for so long does not mean that it will last forever. If the best golfers in the world are still on the PGA Tour, then almost all the best payers will be on LIV. You can see how that stagnation will not last.

But LIV golf, at the very bottom, is not just a bitter unethical bet on the power of infinite wealth. So it is, however, but an accurate assessment of a larger cultural gravity, not only in terms of personal policy and the relative pull of wild resources, but also how the various forces that hold people here on earth work. It’s important to us, in a sense, that LIV golf sucks — where there are no spots and no stories, the best players are not part of it, that the people behind it are cruel and murderous reactionaries. But the larger forces are already at work, and the gamble here is that, ultimately, money will be more important – that, over time, fans will tend to favor people over money, and people will accept it. Just as this particular aspiration works in the culture of the moment, so too are some of the ambitious-9/11 or not, will you really get that money back?? Some of it is emotional-Are you a hater, or are you a champion who makes his own way and flies in person? None of this is unreasonable, but none of it is as unreasonable as betting. This is the darkest part of it: Not that it can be so cheap, but it can be so cruel.

World-renowned boxing promoter Eddie Hearn believes Justice Honey’s footwork can disappoint him as he continues his transition from an amateur to a professional.

Honey (5-0) faced Joe Goodall (8-0-1) in the biggest fight of his professional career, and while Horn was fascinated by the work of the 23-year-old at the amateur level, he warned that the professional heavyweight division was a different kettle of fish.

“It’s very difficult. You have to hold your legs harder. You have to punch harder. You’re always under pressure to have fun,” he told Wide World of Sports.

“It’s very difficult to tell a fighter when they’re not losing a round. It’s about discomfort in the seat.

“Honey does a lot of movement on his legs, probably too much for a heavyweight, in my opinion, and sometimes probably doesn’t set his legs as he needs to, but that transformation will come as a professional.”

According to Horn, the match-up against Goodall, who has won six of his previous nine fights at first-round stops, will reveal a lot about the man who has been identified as the future star of Australian boxing.

“I know Justice Honey from amateurs and he’s a genius, but I’ve got a secret feeling for Goodall in this fight, because I think it’s his world title fight,” he said.

“Kevin Barry is a very good trainer. I’ve seen him on the scales, he looks really good.

“We’re going to find out about Honey in this fight, because how good is he? How tough is he wearing short gloves? He’s a great talent, but I’ve got a great feeling for the good in this fight.”

For the Honey-Goodall winner, according to Horn, another Australian could be on the horizon.

“A good fight against tonight’s winner Dempsey McKinnon,” he said.

“You’re somehow back to Lucas Brown, I’m trying to get him against Dempsey McCain. Dempsey is suddenly 20-0 and top-15 in the governing body, so he’s ready to go to the big fight.

“You need talent in the heavyweight division to improve the game, so it’s great that you’ve got Justice and Dempsey and Goodall. Even better if you can keep them fighting each other.”

Paramatman week from hell has taken a turn for the worse and the series center Tom is leaving the club to play in the Opasic Super League.

Several British clubs are chasing the 27-year-old center, where Hal KR is leading.

Opasic is not a game breaker but a consistent player who has been in Brad Arthur’s top team most of the season.

Defense is his specialty. He wasn’t playing Monday’s 34-4 loss to the Bulldogs and as it turns out, the Canterbury Ellis defense has expanded.

Opacic made an attempt at the NSW Cup last weekend and was included in the 22-member squad to meet with the rosters on Saturday night.

Opasic began his career with the Broncos in 2016 but a two-shoulder reconstruction saw him play little in first grade there.

He moved to the Cowboys in 2019 and played in the club’s successful NRL Nines squad the following year.

He joined ILS last year and was a fairly regular member of the top party but is coming out of the deal.

Roosters captain James Tedesco has denied claims that Luke Kerry may need to retire after he was last dropped in a string of concussions.

Carrie has been named in the Roosters squad to face Eels at CommBank Stadium on Saturday, but doubts have been raised after leaving the field at the half-hour mark of the Roosters’ 26-18 defeat to Storm in the SCG in Round 14.

Speaking to Wide World of Sports, Tedesco said Kerry was “good” and returned to training on Tuesday.

“She will do some light training – she trained yesterday and she was fine. Hopefully it doesn’t have a long term effect … It was a head injury, which happens.

“It wasn’t like it was a sick injury where it was a huge injury, and there have been a few of these this year, but he’s gone and he’s fine.”

Tedesco, who presented a $ 250,000 check to the Starlight Foundation on behalf of Swysh on Wednesday, said he believed Kiri would be better off standing in line in the No. 7 jersey on Saturday night.

Roosters were forced to leave the field after halfback Storm fullback Nick Mani was hit in the back of the head by teammate Joseph Manu during a tackle.

He suffered several injuries in the 2018 and 2019 seasons, but has not had a registered case since. However, due to a serious knee injury, he played only three matches in 2021.

Carey is the latest in a line of rosters facing Concern concerns. Both Boyd Cordner and Jack Friend were forced to retire last year due to chronic injuries.

South Sydney coach Jason Demetrius is worried about the health of superstar Lateral Mitchell.

Gunn Fullback – who is probably the most talked about player in the rugby league – has not played since he suffered a serious hamstring injury in five rounds.

Mitchell flew to America to work with a famous hamstring specialist, but returned to Sydney a fortnight ago but has not yet returned to the playground.

New South Wales were hoping to pick him for the second State of Origin match in Perth on June 26. But that plan was thwarted when the Rabitohas did not name Mitchell for the game against the Dragons on Friday night.

On Wednesday, Demetrius was surprised when reporters questioned him about Mitchell’s fitness and whether he would miss Origin II.

“I’m not going to discuss my conversation with Latrell,” Demetrius said.

“Lateral knows where he is, I know where he is, and we’ll leave him there.

“I think it’s a bit unfair to Lateral, as a guy who’s been going through about 10 weeks of rehabilitation.

“There he is. It’s not in Latrell that they (NSW) lost the Origin Eye. He’s not in Latrell who came back sooner than he could play.”

“I would love for Lateral to play Origin, and would love to play Lateral, we all do. But unfortunately the timing is not quite right.”

Fitler discusses Lateral’s Game 2 possibilities

Demetrius hopes to make Mitchell available for a 16-round game against Paramatman on July 2.

If he wins it through that competition, Mitchell will be available to select the Blues for the third Origin game, which will be played in Brisbane on 13 July.

“It’s not about Origin playing or whether he’s playing for us, it’s about whether he’s fit to play rugby league at the NRL level, let alone the origin level. And he’s not,” Demetrius said.

“We will not ask these questions if one of his arms is broken and he is six weeks (injured).

“As far as I’m concerned he’s going through his recovery. Nothing has changed for us.

“We hope to bring him back and be able to shoot and fit and prepare for Origin III if they need to.”
