Jack Bird is ready to honor his upcoming new deal with the Dragons, although reports say the star is considering returning to a contract extension.
Bird, who joined Dragons in 2021 after an injury-plagued work with the Broncos, has been offered a two-year, $ 1.1 million contract to stay with the club until the end of 2024.
Michael Chamas, a reporter for the Nine Rugby League, has confirmed that Bird will sign a new contract in a few days.

“There’s been news this afternoon that Jack Bird is getting cold feet over his deal with the Dragons,” Chammas told Nine.
“If you remember a few weeks ago, Jack Bird agreed to a new two-year deal with the club, and an alternative to the third. In the first two years, it was worth about $ 1.1 million.
“It appears that the agreement has not yet been signed.

“Dragon has an email with his manager to accept the deal. I spoke to Dragons CEO Ryan Webb this afternoon – he says the deal will be signed in the next 48 hours.
“Now the Tigers, they are said to be hiding in the background. I have spoken to the club and they have insisted that they are no longer running for Jack Bird. He will not be with the Tigers next year.”
