He was particularly disappointed with the decision to penalize Christian Tuipulotu for a high tackle, which gave the Eagles a set of new tackles at the end of the game, just as the Manly players celebrated thinking they had regained their possession.

Claiming a forward pass was missed, Hasler referred to the loss to the Sea of Eagles’ controversial 2020 eagle, where Manley denied attempting to win a match when a forward pass was ruled out in the lead-up.
“I thought the call was very suspicious,” Hasler added.

“A forward pass, it was the same call as a few years ago – did not miss that forward pass.
“Gutherson kick-chase was probably at least one meter off-side.
“So, I’m sure Ben (Cummins) will review his game.”
