NRL News 2022, Luciano Leilua leaves West Tigers, The Mall column, Scoops

Fans of Angry Tigers have a message for mysterious backer Luciano Leiluar – good salvation.

Even before the Leilua Tigers left to join the Cowboys on Tuesday, fans were demanding Manley’s omission after a poor performance in Saturday’s 30-4 push.

At the start of the season, Leilua was one of the most dynamic players in the Tigers’ line-up, but when he signed with the Cowboys for 2023, his football quickly plummeted.

Watson, a former halfback-hooker who has nearly 300 games to his credit, is considered a rising star in Super League coaching.

In 2019, he took Batler Salford to the Super League grand final and coached them to the Challenge Cup final before switching to Huddersfield the following year.

A few British coaches have relocated to Australia but the last one – former star backer Malcolm Reilly – won a Premiership with Newcastle in 1997.

FEEL-Good Storm Star can be a night

Last weekend’s feeling-good story was the debut of Grant Anderson’s double attempt at Storm – but it will rub salt in the wounds of many Knights fans.

Anderson is the one who escaped – a local Central Charleston Jr. who only wanted to play for his favorite Knights.

But the club did not believe he had accepted the offer and did not offer Anderson a deal.

Frustrated but determined, the 22-year-old Sunshine moved to Northern Pride in North Queensland before the storm system ended with the Coast Falcons … and the rest is history.
