Payne Haas insists that his eyes are fixed on the State of Origin and nothing else because his contract with the Broncos is closed in the background.

Haas joined his New South Wales teammates in camp for the June 8 opener on Sunday and highlighted his 1 million fight while pressing 2GB’s Wide World of Sports Radio.

“I’ll let my management say everything,” Haas said.

“I’m trying to focus on camp (origin) here. That’s the important thing right now, I’m going to play well for NSW next Wednesday, and my whole focus is on that.”

Haas has a contract with Brisbane until the end of 2024 but the front row team is keen to earn $ 1 million a year.

Under Haas’s current agreement, the 22-year-old is guaranteed $ 750,000 for 2022, $ 800,000 in 2023 and $ 850,000 in 2024.

He played his first game last Friday night as his management sought immediate release.

When he returned from the bench in the 51st minute, he touched the ball and hit it with Bose’s chorus.
