It was a tough season for Murdoch-Masila in the face of injury, having missed several weeks in April due to a hip-drop tackle by Brisbane’s Thomas Flaler.

The 31-year-old is set for another long time on the sidelines, with confirmation coming in the second half of his new illness.
The injury occurred in the middle of the first half when he tried a tackle on Sharks fullback Will Kennedy and his hand got stuck in an awkward position.
