Who knew orchids could cause so much drama?

I don’t have a green thumb. I like plants. I want them to survive. I often buy a new one at a home improvement store and ask for a living. But most of my plants do well if I can water them every day or not at all. My most dramatic thing with a tree is when someone dies and I have to deal with it, which makes me get dirty everywhere and feel sad. Everything in this drama is self-contained. No one else is needed for this.

I never knew that gardening could be so dramatic until we got this week’s story in our inbox. This week we have a love story of orchids so much that you are willing to rebuild your home, fight an HOA, deny your kids, and hire someone named Larry. It’s an amount of emotion I’ve never collected for anything!

Joining me this week are Lindsay Weber and Bobby Finger. Lindsay and Bobby co-host favorite celebrity gossip podcasts WHO? Weekly. I’ve been listening WHO? Weekly Over the years, so glad they got it!

I talked to Lindsay and Bobby about their own feelings about plants, how they share gossip with each other and whether running a celebrity gossip podcast has diminished their interest in regular gossip (it didn’t). Then we got into this week’s gossip about a father in East Texas who just wants to grow as many beautiful orchids as possible but is hampered by his own ambitions.

Also! Thanks to everyone who came to our live show last week in New York. We worked really hard to make it a special night! I had a really fun time, and I hope you did too!
